Dyes & Detergents
A detergent is a surfactant or a mixture of surfactants with detergent properties in dilute solutions. These substances are usually alkylbenzene sulfonates, a family of compounds that resemble soap but dissolve better in hard water because polar sulfonate (detergents) are less likely to bind with calcium and other ions than polar carboxylate (soaps). found in hard water.
Detergents, dyes and colorants are widely used in the manufacture of many consumer and industrial products, including clothing and textiles, toys, cosmetics, footwear, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, industrial and household detergents and packaging. They can give a specific finish, prevent mold growth, reduce product spoilage, or give a product a vibrant color, just to name a few of their functions.
As a manufacturer of these products, our job is to ensure that the products are of the highest quality and perform optimally. Product safety is paramount and the presence of potentially harmful chemicals should be assessed at every stage of the supply chain. Special attention is paid to the choice of colorants and chemical ingredients in products, so health and environmental risks must be kept to a minimum in order to comply with the world's chemical restrictions. This includes freeing products from hazardous or restricted substances such as heavy metal formaldehyde, phthalates or azo dyes and their degradation products.
